Giving Back in 2013
SPECIAL OLYMPICS 2013
For those of you that have participated in the Special Olympics the Olympian Oath always starts the day:
“Let me win. But if I cannot win, Let me be brave in the attempt.”
This year Pennsylvania Special Olympics Allegheny County took place at Baldwin High School. It was a wet rainy day, but the spirits of these young children and adults were on fire! Don and I have been part of the Special Olympics in several different states for over 8 years now, and it has been such an awesome pleasure working with them. Kathy Guy heads up the division here in Allegheny County, and I must say she is one determined and organized woman. I give her huge props for all she does for the SOAC out here. The experience for these young children and adults was unbelievable, their faces lite up like nothing you could ever imagine. Tears were brought to my eyes on a handful of occasions just watching these Olympians fight for their hard earned gold medals.

These athletes compete in everything from sprints to long jump.

Who would of guessed my favorite sport was the Dance Competitions!?

My Favorite Dance Partner of the Day:
My Buddy – TOM!!

We had so much fun participating this year! I always insist that part of leading A beautiful fulfilled life is giving back. Every person needs somebody! I am somebody!
I made a quick 2 minute clip of some more pictures and check out some of the AWESOME dance moves from Tom and I…be inspired and go make someone else’s day. Stay Fabulous My Friends!
